Hi there! Thanks for visiting. I hope you had a nice time. Everything in this tumblr is not mine, unless otherwise noted. I only blog/reblog stuff I really like or has a special meaning to me and I always try to give credit to the author. So, you’ll find here a bunch of pictures, quotes, videos and songs that really touched me, or just ordinary things that I dream about. There may also be some fangirl craziness.
Beware: if I like your blog, I will reblog and like way too much.

Fact: “Come to show me how laughably impotent you are against me?” will be my hands down favorite Klaus line, witty, snarky, romantic or otherwise, from Season 4.

Why, you ask?

Because he could’ve said ‘powerless’ and he could’ve said ‘helpless’ but no: he said impotent. “Impotent” does mean ‘lacking in power or strength; helpless,’ but it also means ‘unable to engage in sexual intercourse because of inability to have and maintain an erection.

Marry your best friend. I do not say that lightly. Really, truly find the strongest, happiest friendship in the person you fall in love with. Someone who speaks highly of you. Someone you can laugh with. The kind of laughs that make your belly ache, and your nose snort. The embarrassing, earnest, healing kind of laughs. Wit is important. Life is too short not to love someone who lets you be a fool with them. Make sure they are somebody who lets you cry, too. Despair will come. Find someone that you want to be there with you through those times. Most importantly, marry the one that makes passion, love, and madness combine and course through you. A love that will never dilute - even when the waters get deep, and dark.

If grandmothers around the world had a rallying cry, it would probably sound something like “You need to eat!”

Photographer Gabriele Galimberti’s grandmother said something similar to him before one of his many globetrotting work trips. To ensure he had at least one good meal, she prepared for him a dish of ravioli before he departed on one of his adventures.

“In that occasion I said to my grandma ‘You know, Grandma, there are many other grandmas around the world and most of them are really good cooks,” Galimberti wrote via email. “I’m going to meet them and ask them to cook for me so I can show you that you don’t have to be worried for me and the food that I will eat!’ This is the way my project was born!”

The project, “Delicatessen With Love”, took Galimberti to 58 countries where he photographed grandmothers with both the ingredients and finished signature dishes.

He acted as photographer and stylist during each shoot with the grandmothers, taking a portrait of both the women and the food they made for him.

From top to bottom:

Grace Estibero, 82, Mumbai, India. Chicken vindaloo.

Serette Charles, 63, Saint-Jean du Sud, Haiti. Lambi in creole sauce.

The photographer’s grandmother Marisa Batini, 80, Castiglion Fiorentino, Italy. Swiss chard and ricotta Ravioli with meat sauce.
